Student Information​​

Call Time

  • 3:00 PM - Please do not be late!​​

​

Sound Check

  • 4:00 PM

  • Only student performers are allowed into soundchecks (This is SD Symphony's policy).​​

​

Performance

  • 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM​​​

​

Dress:

  • Formal Performance Attire​ 

​
Bring:​

  • Horns

  • Cymbals, Sticks/Brushes (snare if preferred)

  • Bass and Amp

  • Music (if needed)
     

Provided:​

  • Piano

  • Drums

  • Light snacks for performers

    • Time permitting—YLJC will take students across the street for a meal (The Taco Stand)​

Location​

  • Jacobs Music Center (map)​

  • Enter via the stage door at 1280 8th Ave.

    • When you enter, you will be on the 4th floor; you'll need to take the elevator to the 1st floor to get to stage level.

    • Best if we're all there at 3:00 PM and go in together.

Parking

  • Parking is not provided at this venue. There is a paid lot at 6th and A or metered street parking (free after 6PM)

    • YLJC will reimburse parking (6th and A lot) for those who request it. We will need the lot receipt emailed to us with the student's name to info@yljc.org.

  • Two Comp Tickets Per Student Performer

    • ​Tickets will be at Will Call under the student's name.

      • FYI — The show is sold out!  Student performers will have seats but we have no idea where they will be (per SD Symphony 11/21/24)
