YLJC receives $150,000 donation from San Diego Foundaton! ๐ŸŽ‰

Updated: Apr 8

Exciting news! Our partners at San Diego Foundation received a historic, transformative unrestricted $100 million cash gift from the estate of local entrepreneur Jay Kahn.

Young Lions Jazz Conservatory (YLJC) is one of 10 nonprofits that will receive a $150,000 inaugural grant from the Jay Kahn Endowment Fund to advance our work in music education with under-resourced children in San Diego. Thank you, SDF!

YLJC is thrilled to receive the Jay Kahn Endowment Fund grant and is excited to use the funds to further its mission of providing jazz education to young musicians in San Diego. The grant will help the conservatory expand its reach and further its mission of providing high-quality jazz education to underserved youth, provide more resources to its current students, and continue to build a strong community of young jazz musicians in San Diego county.

The Jay Kahn Endowment Fund grant is a significant achievement for the Young Lions Jazz Conservatory, as it will enable the organization to expand its offerings and provide even more young musicians with access to high-quality jazz education. With the support of the grant, the conservatory will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of young musicians in San Diego for years to come.
