Youth Ensemble Classes
Ensemble classes for middle and high school students. Widely known as one of the most prestigious jazz education programs on the west coast, YLJC has small ensembles to big band for every skill level.
Workshop Classes
Ensemble "workshop" classes for students who need work with theory, reading, improvising and playing in a group setting. After the workshop classes, students will be prepared for the demands of playing in a YLJC ensemble.
YLJC Jacobs Jazz Orchestra
YLJC Jacobs Jazz Orchestra is a TUITION-FREE program, thanks to the generous sponsorship provided by Mrs. Joan Jacobs and Dr. Irwin Jacobs!
Kakos Clinics & Masterclasses
Kakos Clinics & Materclasses is a TUITION-FREE program for current YLJC students. Clinics taught by local jazz musicians and masterclasses taught by world renown jazz artists for YLJC for students. Thank you to Charles and Gina Kakos for the generous sponsorship!
