Who Is Eligible?
Full, half and gap scholarships are available to YLJC youth and workshop students who show merit and whose families demonstrate financial need.
Merit-based scholarships are also available each term and are awarded at the discretion of YLJC's artistic director.
Are There Any Requirements?
There is no fee to apply for a scholarship. If awarded, scholarship recipients and their families agree to the following:

Attendance — Students must maintain no more than two unexcused absences per semester.

Advance Notice — Families must notify Young Lions Jazz Conservatory in advance of any known absences.

Preparation — Students are expected to come prepared to every session with their instrument, materials, and a commitment to learning.

Performances — Students are expected to participate in all scheduled performances and showcases.

Commitment — Families commit to actively supporting their child's participation in the program.

Thank-You Letter — Scholarship recipients will be asked to write a thank-you letter to the donor who generously contributed to YLJC's scholarship fund. There may also be an opportunity for an in-person meeting with the donor.

Scholarship Status — Scholarships are awarded for the term applied for. Continued enrollment and adherence to the above requirements are expected for the duration of the award. YLJC reserves the right to cancel a scholarship at any time if these conditions are not met.

Scholarship Process

Register First — Students must be registered before submitting a scholarship application.

Complete the Application — Click the Apply Now button below and complete the online scholarship application in full. Only complete applications will be considered.

Confirmation — You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your completed application upon submission.

Review — All applications are reviewed by the YLJC Scholarship Committee. Decisions are communicated by email.

Notifications — Scholarship notifications will be emailed upon review, no later than Sept 8, 2026.

Tuition Information
Tuition is paid by the acendemic year. There is also a reccurring monthly payment plan available.

$1,250 for the acedemic year

$25 non-refundable registration fee

There are no class material fees
Billing invoices are sent via email after ensemble placements. We accept check and credit cards. Families who have multiple students enrolled in the program will receive a 50% siblings discount on the tuition fee for the second student.
