In the summer, Young Lions Jazz Conservatory students perform at Panama 66 on Wednesdays. Since YLJC is out of session, these performances are usually led by graduated seniors (class of 2024). Students select their own group of musicians, choose and often arrange the tunes, and set up rehearsals. This experience provides invaluable real-life experience in leading a band.
YLJC would like to thank Panama 66 and the San Diego Museum of Art for their ongoing partnership and for providing such a wonderful home-away-from-home for our students and community!
